Dave started playing cards when he was very young, he used to play with his parents, and when he got older his parents would not let him play with them any more because he would never lose.  Dave then could only play with his friends where eventually he had the same problem, his friends quit letting him play because he took all their money.  Dave had to move on to local bars where unfortunately he had a similar experience, he could not lose there either so you guessed it, they kicked him out of there as well.

When Dave turned 22 he decided to start his own jewelry business in his home town of Hull, England.  He  started playing professionally at the Victoria Club in London and did very well for himself, he also played  in Casinos, entering tournaments in Europe as well as Las Vegas. While Dave was playing Poker in England his fellow players gave him a nickname that has stuck with him till this day, “Devilfish”.  Dave did not even know what this name meant until they told him, it was the name of a poisonous fish.   

Devilfish got his nickname because everyone who has played against him felt that they could never win, and to play against him was just like getting bit by a poisonous fish aka Devilfish.  That same year Dave went on to play against Men Nguyen “The Master” in Las Vegas and Dave won the tournament.  Dave has won a WSOP bracelet in 1997 and he has 4 other major tournaments which has given him a lot of things to brag about.

Dave still owns his jewelery store in Hull, however he is constantly entering Poker tournaments and winning most of the time.  He is known for his Poker skills and playing in World Series of Poker Tournaments that are televised.  His face is seen world wide and probably has one of the most famous faces on the televised Poker tournaments.  He is considered a very strong Texas Hold Em player and so far has earned over $5 Million doing what he enjoys, playing Poker.
