Professional Poker Players are every where, however, Michael DeMichele is a upcoming Professional Poker Player who within the past 2 years has earned $1.2 Million. He is only 23 years old and is originally from Poughkeepsie, NY, and started playing Poker when he turned 18. Like any other beginner Poker player Mike started out playing at the low limit tables $1-$2 tables. It did not take long for Mike to graduate to the next step up table. The $3-$6 tables up to $30 -$60 bet is where he went next, then once he learned and got comfortable he went to Online Gambling.
After Mike had been playing Poker online for a while and had logged on more than 11,000 times he moved to Connecticut, and started playing Poker at the famous Foxwood Casino. He played the High-stakes live cash Poker games and his favorite games ae Stud 8 or better and also he enjoys playing Omaha 8 or better. Mike excels at both of these games and moved up to the $75 -$150 Limits very quickly. After being very successful at playing Poker at Foxwoods, he decided to enter his first tournament, which was a $10,000 Buy-in. This was in the 2006 US Poker Championship at the Taj Mahal. He ended up placing 3rd and taking home $215,000.
This year 2008, Mike entered the WSOP in Vegas and did not really do well but he did not let this slow him down a bit. He went on to play at the $10,000 World Champion Mixed Event and by the time he was done there he placed 4th and took home $140,000. Mike has a unique style of game play where if you saw him walking out of the Casino you would think that he was either just getting off work because he dresses unlike any other player and does not look like a normal Poker player. You can not tell he has been playing Poker for 12 hours straight.
Mike entered a $50,000 HORSE game where at one point in the game he was holding $7 million in chips but by the end of the game he placed 2nd winning a total of $1.2 Million. Not bad for a 23 year old kid. Mike is very mature for his age and he dos not do any of the rude things some players do at the table, he is very reserved, and gives the other players the utmost respect. He just simply sits at the table placing bets in a timely fashion while he listens to his Ipod.
